Representing before the Slovak Data Protection Authority and courts
We belong among law firms with the highest number of open cases before the Slovak Data Protection Authority with number of "firsts". We represents clients during inspects, administrative proceedings, during code of conduct approval proceedings or accreditations. We were first to request approval of binding corporate rules in Slovakia. We have managed to abolish and lower a number of fines imposed under GDPR. Our practical advantage is that some of us have previously worked at the Slovak Data Protection Authority. We represents clients before the courts, especially during administrative court examination and the Constitutional Court.
DPO Support
We do not offer services of the external data protection officer, because we do not consider it correct and responsible towards our clients. We never recommend using external DPOs that service number of clients. Typically, such persons are not entitled to provide legal services and cause irreparable problems to clients. We rather support clients in gradually taking upon the DPO role by existing internal employee. With our DPO Support this role can be managed even by a personnel without legal education.
